Change is not simply
something
that happens around us.

The Launching Change Collective
People, Ideas, and Solutions
We bring together counseling, education, technology, scholarship, and community-centered work around one shared idea: people can become active participants in meaningful change.
We help people become agents of change at the micro and mezzo levels: within their own lives, relationships, organizations, communities, and the larger society of which they are a part.
Change begins with understanding.
Meaningful change rarely happens in isolation. Individual experiences are shaped by relationships, communities, institutions, systems, histories, opportunities, and the environments in which people live and work.
The Launching Change Collective creates space to explore those connections.
Our work invites people to understand what is happening, examine what may need to change, identify the resources already available to them, and develop practical ways to move forward.
Rather than offering a single pathway, the Collective brings together multiple disciplines and perspectives to support change that is thoughtful, responsive, and grounded in the realities of everyday life.

Kimberly L. Tribbett
MA, LPC, NCC
Counselor · Educator · Technologist · Emerging Scholar

Kimberly “Kim” Tribbett is a licensed professional counselor, educator, technologist, and emerging scholar whose work sits at the intersection of human development, mental health, technology, faith communities, and organizational and social change.
Her professional path has crossed disciplines that are often treated as separate. Before entering the counseling profession, Kim built a career in information systems and technology. Her later work in clinical mental health counseling, education, curriculum development, and scholarship expanded that perspective.
Those experiences shape the central philosophy of The Launching Change Collective: meaningful change requires attention not only to individuals, but also to the relationships, organizations, communities, technologies, and systems surrounding them.
Kim’s work explores how people understand change, how environments influence their ability to respond to it, and how individuals and communities can be better equipped to participate in shaping what comes next.
Education & Professional Formation
Kim holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rider University, a Master of Science in Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University.
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor and continues to develop scholarly work exploring the intersections of mental health, public theology, congregational life, formation, and systemic change.

CURIOSITY
We ask questions before assuming we already know the answer.
CONNECTION
We pay attention to the relationships between people, communities, institutions, and systems.
ACCESSIBILITY
Knowledge and resources should be understandable, usable, and connected to real life.
REFLECTION
Meaningful action is stronger when we make room to examine our assumptions, experiences, and impact.
AGENCY
People are not simply recipients of change. They can understand it, respond to it, influence it, and help shape what comes next.

The Launching Change Collective is not built around the idea that change has a final destination.
It is a continuing process of learning, questioning, creating, adapting, and acting.
Across counseling, education, technology, scholarship, and community work, the invitation remains the same:
Understand what is changing.
Recognize where you have agency.
Develop the resources to engage it.
Help shape what comes next.
